I'm walking through City Park with Cris. It's springtime afternoon and everything is in bloom. We're heading to his house, and we walk past this garden. The tress are growing flower boas. I break one off and put it around my neck. All of the flowers in the garden are huge and colorful. Cris picks one for me that is as big as my face, it's so beautiful. There are these mushrooms that are speckled yellow, and I almost touch one, but then I remember that it might be poisonous.
We finally arrive at his house. It's a wooden shack. He lives there with his brother. Inside is bigger than it looks, we are hanging out, coloring. I tell Cris that his hospitality and kindness will be returned twofold. It's getting late, so I leave, but then I return the next day.
We're just chillin', when all of a sudden these kids start to mess with the house and throw rocks at it. So the three of us start fighting back, like the kids of Never Never Land. We finally win and the kids leave. I look at the clock and realize that I have only an hour left to hang out, then I've got to go to the doctor's. I need to take a shower. I ask Cris and he says sure, but to make it quick because the shower doesn't drain. I can see that; there's two inches of dirty water at the bottom of the shower. I tell him I'll make it fast. I'm very nervous about him seeing or smelling my armpits-they're all hairy and stinky.
