1-12-1999 Dream #2

I am driving, I don't know where, I am just going. I end up at Lake Mac. I drive down on of the dirt roads, and then turn around and leave. The dream stays here, like a movie.

There is a house off the side of the road. An older man, early 60s, his wife and their teenage son, the second child, live here. The man is working outside, and the son is downstairs with his friends, playing video games. The teenagers are talking about having a party over the weekend, all they need is an extension cord to run power to the stereo from upstairs. The downstairs room used to be his sister's, but no one has heard from her in years, not since the blowout between her and their father. No one knows what it was about.
Dad comes downstairs: Why haven't you done your chores, you're wasting time with your friends, gotten your homework done? Dad hasn't been happy in a long time. He's always working, but he's somewhere else, wishing for something. All the son's friends leave, the kid goes off and does chores.
Now it's the weekend, and time for the party. All the teenagers come over, and are having fun, and everyone stays the night. The morning comes and they have overslept, Dad found the extension cord, and followed it to the party. He walks in while they are cleaning up. He begins to lecture all the teenagers, and someone starts down the stairs behind him. At first he doesn't notice, but then a stair squeaks and he turns around. There is a woman wearing a leather jacket, with a hat and a red bandana.
"how is it...?"
No Answer. He approaches the woman.
"Honey," he says in an almost forgotten tone. She removes the bandana, and tears well up in his eyes.
"I've missed you so much." He hugs her. She weeps, she's glad to be home. The son feels relief.
Holding her he says, "I was wrong, I love you and will no matter how you decide to live your life."
