I Still Feel as if I'm Dancing

02 October 2002

I am at an Askimbo house party, and I take some Ecstasy with Laura, and it hits quickly-everything becomes very trippy. I go to the bathroom and end up in there forever, and at one point one of the guys starts to make fun of me for being in there for so long. I yell through the door that my period just started and my heckler becomes disgusted. When I leave the bathroom, I am very sleepy, so I find a bedroom to sleep in-it looks like my cousin's bedroom growing up. There is a woman sleeping on the floor who I recognize. I had watched her make gum on a taffy machine earlier; she had given me a piece of the finished product. There is also a man in the bed, as it is his bed, and he is sound asleep. It is early morning and both the woman and man are waking up. When the man goes to the attached bathroom, I roll over to find that I bled on the bed. I just cover it up with the blanket and start talking to the woman as though nothing happened. Now we are all up and dressed and the three of us are traveling to the woman's house. Her house is exceedingly red and rocky, and I think that it is Hell. There's an outcropping in the middle of the main room and the interior of the house is actually a cave. The man who's room we had slept in goes over to the outcropping and is pleading with the woman; she is threatening to pull a lever and open up damnation. There are a lot of people moving about anxiously, and they are not screaming, but it is loud. I'm just standing still in the cave, watching it all, and I just turn and walk away from it all.

Brian and I are working on a movie. We are filming on a campus, the scene is supposed to be an evil rally and I have worked really hard to get everything together: the people, the sets, etc. Finally everything is in place and we're ready to shoot, but Brian hasn't even arrived yet. I go to where all the actors are gathered, which is in the garage at the Dexter house, and they are all impatiently waiting. The crowd of extras begins to thin because it is taking so long. Finally Brian arrives and starts working with the actors, and I begin to wander around checking on things when I smell weed. It takes me a while to locate it, and when I do it is in this old lady's drink, which she shares with me. I go back to the garage to see how it's going and it begins to get overcast out. Now only a fifth of the crowd is left, so we have to make set changes, and then finally we start shooting. When it's all said and done, Brian leaves me alone standing out back to pay everyone and I am out of checks and concerned that I am out of money.
